“Welcome to Kaya”

Kaya Rhythm & Arts provide drumming workshops, art projects and cultural events for schools, charities, community groups, businesses and private clients across the UK and Europe.

We offer arts-based education, entertainment, therapy and team-building activities.

As facilitators we use drumming, rhythm, song, games, dance, world culture, stories, art and craft activities to inspire, motivate, guide and educate.

Our provision includes:

  • Drumming, Song and Dance Workshops
  • Art and Craft activities
  • Cultural Days –  Native American, African, Australian Aboriginal and more
  • Teambuilding events
  • Parties, Celebrations, Festivals, Fetes and Fairs

We create bespoke activities for any group and event – from private parties to summer camps and conference icebreakers.

Kaya also specialise in working with special needs, mental health, behaviour improvement and disabled groups as well as mainstream settings.

Alex Miles, Director and Senior Facilitator, has been teaching and facilitating since the beginning of the century. Alex’s training, knowledge and experience in the arts is extensive and ongoing.

“We sometimes do not know how to play together, how to work together, how to listen to each other, how to support each other and how to have fun and laugh together.

You have made us realise what an enormous creative potential we all have. Not for a moment were you fazed by our insecurities and inabilities but you gave every one of us the confidence to join in and make music together.

You have brought more to us than drums and music. You have brought yourselves and your enthusiasm to make something fantastic out of what is available. I think you have brought this idea to us: to be ourselves and to make something fantastic out of what we have. “

– Liane Worm – Regional Family Coordinator for Brainwave
