About Kaya

Kaya run fully inclusive, stimulating, vibrant and educational drumming workshops and events using music, sound, voice, dance, and movement.

Our facilitators use a multitude of rhythms, songs, games, dance, stories and instruments to motivate and educate.

We encourage input from participants to shape the direction of each session. This experience helps the group and the individual grow and develop.

We can actively engage any number of participants and can offer a structured programme to suit specific needs.

Testimonial

The following quote says so much about what Kaya do and what we aim to achieve and offer in all the workshops and events we bring to schools, organisations and communities.

“We sometimes do not know how to play together, how to work together, how to listen to each other, how to support each other and how to have fun and laugh together.

You have made us realise what an enormous creative potential we all have. Not for one moment were you fazed by our insecurities and inabilities and you gave every one of us the confidence to join in and make music together. I do not know how you did it, but you even managed to get me singing!

You have brought more to us than drums and music. You have brought yourselves and your enthusiasm to make something fantastic out of what is available. I think you have brought this idea to us: to be ourselves and to make something fantastic out of what we have. “
